FC Goa will take on Jamshedpur FC tonight after the break and this will be an interesting battle between the sides who are separated by a single point.FC Goa are 3 points away from the 4th spot securing 20 points off the 11 matches they’ve played; winning 6, drawing twice and losing 3 times this season.

On the other hand Jamshedpur FC are just a point shy of their upcoming opponents’ tally of 20. Jamshedpur FC have been on a drawing spree this season as they have drawn 7 times in 12 matches. They’ve lost once and won 4 times. If they want to fight strongly they need to add to their wins.

FC Goa:

The Gaurs are coming to battle tonight on the back of a 5-1 victory against North East United FC when they signed off their year with flair last month. Jamshedpur thrashed Goa 4-1 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex Stadium to register their biggest win in the ISL with Michael Soosairaj scoring a brace. The home side today with the supporters will be looking to seek revenge.

The joint highest goalscorer in the ISL with 28 goals, Ferran Corominas has 10 goals this season and will be called up by Lobera to seal the victory. With five goals and four assists, Edu Bedia has also been in stellar form this season.

Goa also signed Moroccan midfielder Zaid Krouch in the January transfer window and Lobera is expected to hand him a start on Monday. Naveen Kumar has joined Goa from Kerala Blasters and it remains to be seen if Mohammad Nawaz is preferred at goal over Naveen.

Injury and Suspension:

Sergio Lobera has a full fit squad ahead of him to choose from so it’s another plus for the home side.

Jamshedpur FC:

The visitors come into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over Delhi Dynamos where Tim Cahill and Farukh Choudhary scored. Memo and Mario Arques will have to be on the top of their game against the might of the most attacking team in the league. Sergio Cidoncha, who has scored thrice and assisted as many times, is expected to be back from injury and lead the attack alongside Cahill. Not conceding first will also be vital for Jamshedpur, who have only managed to successfully come back to win an encounter just once out of four times.

Injury and Suspension:

Sergio Cidoncha has returned from his long injury layoff and is line to make his comeback for the side from Jharkhand. Michael Soosairaj has also been deemed fit for tomorrow’s match which will be a huge boost for Cesar Ferrando.

The coach revealed that new Jamshedpur FC signing, Augustin Fernandes is not completely fit for the game against FC Goa but the 30-year-old has travelled with the side.

Carlo Calvo is suspended for three games for an alleged racist remark on Delhi Dynamos’ Gianni Zuiverloon.
